Trip Home in Feb 2008 (Part 4)

Having a cancerian as a fren is great, if not the best :P *winks @ Ding* hahahahaha Simply bcos they are so sensitive and are gd listeners and more often than not, they feel yr pain as much as u do!!

Cant rem when but received a call from PS and decided to go watch the planes take off. Since itz CNY, Marpig decided to get those sparkly thingy to play!! Despite being short-lived, itz nice to just watch the sparkles go... Ha, how ironic, pple always like ths tt don lasts or ths tt they never get to keep... Anyh, Marpig shall call these sparkly thingy "boxes of 幸福" in the future ya? :D

Anyw, after tt, itz makan time again!! Cant believe this time when Marpig goes home, she only ate 豆浆油条 & 小龙包 once!!
Next morning, Marpig am suppose to renew/apply her boat licence from MPA which is for life, much like the photo driving licence. Costs bout 20 dolla. Bad habit Marpig picked up whilst she is in the UK is she doesnt carry enough cash (in fact, she don even carry cash smtimes!!) bcos of the rampant usage of cards in the UK (hence, the Brits have lotsa credit card debts but not Marpig lor!! :D) & she had to walked to and fro just to get cash!!

Anyw, the story goes tt Marpig went to get the licence sorted out as well as meeting Mimi T for lunch cos shez gonna past CDs and DVDs (and yes, she is the one to rec 天国之树 to Marpig!! Gonna get her for tt!! :P)

As a matter of fact, her fd recommendations are getting better and better!! Here she rec deep fried fish dumplings mee pok near Tanjong Pagar!! *Slurp*
After the scrumptious lunch, Marpig went to meet up with Marpigz aunt for "lunch"!! Yup, therez no mistakes bout it, itz just another one of those 食台 (as opposed to 歌台) tt Marpig needs to 跑

And Marpigz and Marpigz aunt met to go Waraku @ The Central!! OMG!! Itz another fd wave!! (But Marpigz aunt have more cos Marpig nearly raised the white flag!!)Cant rem if itz the same dae (but guess so) Marpig met up with Balachan bcos she misses Marpig :P Nay, both Marpig and Balachan went to Far East Plaza (Marpig ate Old Chang Keez curry puffs!!) to get her bears (don noe the name and am not too interested) while Marpig went to get 200+ dolla (ttz how much Marpig spent in tt shop EVERYTIME) worth of those miniature Jap toys!!

B4 having dinner at Balachanz parentz rest at Queenstown (Marpig havent eaten there b4; not even once over these 15 yrs since Marpig known Balachan!!), Marpig paid a visit to her house where Marpig saw the photos of those gd o' daes, the lovely green hockey pitch, etc... :)

Anyh, despite Marpig feeling so damn bloody full, Balachan still forces this much of fd into Marpig...
Gosh!! The pepper crabbies are fantastica!! Got to have a seafd spree the next time Marpig goes home!! Still rem the yr b4, Marpig and a couple of frens had crabbies at AMK and rounding off with liulians in the void decks of Hougang!! Gosh, BRILLIANT!!

Time passes quickly and on of the wkdaes, Marpig met up with YL and chairman of WWS for a bit of WWS volunteer duties and a nice and long-missed boating in the whole of Spore River (from Kallang to River Valley and back) Must say tt Marpigz motorskills are so gd!! :D

After boating, Marpig & YL just spend a few mins chatting and sunbathing on the floating platforms at WWS base b4 the trio heads off to Katong for sm laksa, nasi lemak and Marpigz fav, Otak Otak!! :D__
Digress: Sm otaks are crap cos they have got more chilli than they have the real fish in proper proportions and harmony with the chilli!! But the ones Marpig had were yummy!!

B4 long, itz the eve of CNY!! Marpig simply love CNY!! Reason being itz one of those festivals with lotsa pple and crowds and noise... so much so tt Marpig am distracted and don have the time to think of sad memories... (though speaking of it now reminds Marpig of the last CNY eve with Marpigz mom... ... ... )

Guess... Marpig will not go back for 2009 CNY since quite alot of frens will not be free during tt period anyw... will plan to go smwhere again with Marpigz trusty backpack and memories :) (if everyth goes well...)

As usual, ever since a long time ago... Marpigz dad and Marpig went to auntz house for 团圆饭
Nth much to report xcept tt Marpigz dad suddenly disappeared for quite smtime to nowhere... bloody shit. Dont ever let Marpig noe tt Marpigz dad went to see tt so-called "aunty"... hmmmp.

As Marpig mentioned (did she?) the one th tt Marpig will definitely do every yr (don noe since when... was it the yr when Marpig am leaving for the UK?) is to go Bedok 85, makan like crazy and then night cycling with Dingko Nut!! This yr wasnt any diff and Dingko Nut and Marpig did ate the most yummy (perhaps also the most unhealthy) fd!!
Therez Marpigz fav (well, everyth is Marpigz fav!!) 肉挫面, carrot cake, char kway diao, stingray & 皮蛋粥!!

Notice tt BEEG litre beer mug which Marpig brought back from Munich!! Think Dingko Nut mixed apple ju and coke together... but hey!! Itz not bad!!

Having eaten such a heavy supper, both dilly dally, wishy washy a little b4 embarking on the anual night cycling!! This time, Marpig really wanted to fin the route which she didnt managed to fin with PS!! As itz already 3+am (& Marpig need to ciao home by 6am cos Marpigz dad need to use the car for work) hence, both crazy gals 冲 for our lives from Joo Chiat to ECP and Changi, covering 26km in 75 mins = 20.8km/h!! hahahahhaha it was really fun to cycle along the sea, in the night, with the breeze... cycling in the dae and cycling at night... :) really miss doing tt...

Guess Marpig must go cycling in Cornwall come August!!
