She arrived & registered. Then the nurse came back with a pitcher of oral dye tt looks and taste like cheapo orleng ju. Actually, itz > a pitcher since itz full up to the brim. Marpig got to fin all up b4 she can go for the scan, reason being the dye will better show the organs in the scan. Blimey... no wonder they asked Marpig not to have any bf prior to the scan... gosh.. there Marpig was, drinking (she counted) 5 glasses of tt oral dye = a pitcher
She took bout 45 mins and drinking so much liquid on an empty stomach is no joke... felt like puking but cant. Marpig didnt want orleng ju since then...
Anyw, Marpig went to change and lied on the movable bed on the CT scan with her arm bhind her head and kept her elbows tight. So she went through the "hole" once (guess ttz testing) then went in twice for the real scan
The nurse told Marpig tt the doc will have to have a look at the images to see if they need to give Marpig intravenous dye i.e, inject a dye into Marpig... itz suppose to be much stronger than the oral dye tt Marpig bloatedly fin bcos it will "flush" through all arteries and veins and organs. The side effect is tt it will make one feels "hot" & have the feeling like onez wetting himself/herself...
Marpig am wide-eyed... not bcos she is afraid of the feelings but bcos... yes... like she doesnt noe how to swallow panadols but need to submerge them in a spoon (should a spoon is not avail, Marpig normally chews the panadol up with water in the mouth b4 swallowing), she is afraid of injections... (luckily in the end, Marpig do not need the injection)
Whilst Marpig was lying there... she was thinking, heck, if she needs to have tt intravenous dye, she got to have it... anyw, need to get used to injections... in preparation for the worse... if she needed treatment for cancer
Anyw... gonna wait for 4 working daes b4 results is out... there must be smth bcos tt lump is there & Marpig could feel it... if it isnt cancer, itz must be smth else... either way, itz gonna be one th or another
Have been living like sm1 who is lazing n slacking n have no aims in life these few wks/months... itz really hard to describe the feeling but itz like Marpig have lotsa big plans, to-dos, etc... but she has since stopped planning like she used to... she also doesnt dare harbour too noble a dream least she cant fulfil... however... the more she doesnt want to think or plan the more she just cant control herself to think of all the possible ths she can achieve and do...
sigh...
Been thinking bout flying alot lately... partly bcos Marpig suddenly felt the urge to go home... bcos she wanted to go home for treatment if needs be...
Anyh, to obtain a PPL (Private Pilot Licence), ones needs to be medically Class 2 fit (ha, don even noe if Marpig is fit now) Then, it is mandatory tt one needs to train at least 45 hours to sit for flight test.
Also, therez only 6 stages in the entire PPL course (sounds ez?) Letz see wat one learns at each stage:
Stage 1
- 5-10 hours learning bout flying the aircraft straight on top of learning to Level, Climb, Descend and Turn
- Also included are the basic skills to control the Speed and Rate of Climb and Descent
- Will also learn bout Pre-Flight Checks
- Will also learn to Taxi, Take Off and make basic Radio Calls with confidence
- Lastly, will also learn to Look Out, perform safety checks whilst flying & "be at home" with flying
- Takes bout 15 - 20 hours
- Will practice "The Circuit" which is a rectangular pattern flown ard the airport where u learn which consists of maneuvers in seq; Take Off, Climb, Turn, Level Off, Turn, Level Flight, Turn, Descent, Approach & Landing
- Will also be xposed and to be able to learn all types of landings including any emergency situations
- After learning the rope, itz to fly solo on The Circuit
- B4 one noes watz happening, itz time to lose all engine power...
- Having been able to fly solo, one needs to practice (& this is SCARY) Forced Landings = gliding to a safe landing should all engines failed, thank u v much (Marpig did forced landing b4... whilst playing the flight simulator as mentioned in her earlier entries, rem?)
- After being used to getting scared out of the pants, one needs to be able to fly solo on other flight paths outside of The Circuit
- Will learn bout multi-tasking whilst flying x-country; Flying, Navigating & Radio Communication all at the same time
- This will lead to a Qualifying X-country Flight
- Orh~ this sound ez (yeah right) At this stage, one learns bout Basic Instrumental Flying = flying by looking just at the control panels on the cockpit. Wat with the position, height, radar, weather, etc etc
- Reason is simple; need to get out of clouds & where visibility is non-xistence
Hooray!! After spending tons of lollies, using tons of fuel, giving off tons of CO2, itz time to take the flight xams
So, on 1 hand, Marpig totally lost all hopes... yet, on the other hand, Marpig doesnt want to die early bcos she 不甘心, 不甘心 tt pple who deserves to die didnt, while pple who doesnt deserve to die, leaving/left...
