In response to XTz interesting comments/questions on Marpigz bloggie entries:

1) Bout Scuba and Colours Underwater

Diving is a relaxing sport!! Although Marpig do get paranoid bout it smtimes, specially while shez on the boat, gearing up and ready to dive!! Her worst fear is tt she cannot breath!! This happens to Marpig on 2 situations; if she feels tt the wetsuit is too tight & imagined tt it hinders her breathing AND if shez in a small aeroplane and sitting in the aisle instead of a window seat!! But really, Marpig also tell others this bout diving: safety 1st and remain calm and everyth will be a-ok!!

Just like caterpillars tt are colourful and hairy, birds noe only too well the caterpillars are poisonous and hence, wil not eat them. Likewise, fishies wont go for colourful preys although if they do, they will learn in the future and guess itz all part of evolution 吧? Whether itz on land or underwater, therez also symbiotic relationships btw animals (even in the stomach and intestines of humans too!! :P) Then again, an anglerfish uses a "bait" to lure preys just like flies are attracted to lamps :P

BTW, fishes are NOT colourblind although certain colours "changes" underwater bcos wavelengths are different underwater. The impt th is actually visibility and not really colours, ttz why baits are often brightly coloured so tt they appear visible to the fishies and not colourful to them

2) Bout Hammocks

XT!! Letz go to the beach smdae!! Marpig has a hammock!! In fact, think she has 2!! She bought them long time ago in Cambodia!! Marpigz fav!! She slept in it everynight instead of the sleeping bag bcos itz just like babyz 遥遥蓝!! *beaming like a baby* :D She even thought of having 2 poles fitted at home next time just to tie the hammock!! hahahaha NVM, if therez ever a chance, Marpig will tie a hammock and let u swing on it!! Maybe next time the annual German Bridge session could be outdoors with hammock and pinic!! :D Umkumkumk?!

3) Bout Comics

Yup, finally found 乱马1/2 DVDs!! Just like 高桥留美子z 一磅的福音, Marpig used 10 odd yrs to locate them!! Ah~~ 好的东西是值得等的!! But Marpig didnt check out comics in HK, partly bcos she doesnt have the time and also bcos she always had the impression tt HK comics were more like 武侠 comics which Marpig likes the 画工 but not the plot... although she was once crazy bout 风云 (cant even rem the storyline now!!) So much so she actually bought 绝世好剑 (used by 步惊云) & 雪饮刀 (used by 聂风)!! hahahaha BTW, XT, u mentioned Kino has 聊斋志异 comic?! Marpig 4got bout it when she went to get Angel Hearts and Ponyo!! Darn!! Think wil go Kino again in Dec when Marpig goes back!! Can order from Kino 1st?

4) Bout SQ Flag ttz Mirror-imaged

Marpig found out (with the power of the internet!!) tt itz not just SQ, but all aeroplanes have flags shown correct on the left side and mirror-imaged on the right. Reason is bcos it followed international flag-carrying etiquette which in turn, is based on centuries of flags flown on masts of ships!! :D The idea is like the aeroplanes are carrying the flag itself :D So~ttz neh!!

9th Oct - B4 Marpig Flew Back & A Game of Chess

Woke up todae feeling totally FAT. Realised just how BEEG the hips and buttocks are!! Even the pants feel tight!! Gosh!! Itz like 金华火腿 stuffed in pants!! ARGH!! Really, shall now eat bf and lunch and no more dinners!! Shall also cut down on milk tea (although Marpig don add sugar in her tea) and drink black tea... maybe a cuppa milk tea/dae instead of 5 or 6!! Xercise... will try to force herself to do sit ups and pushups and watever ups to get rid of the 金华火腿 and 三层肉!!

B4 Marpig continues onto her Korea trip last yr xmas (OMG!! So fast?!), shez gonna finish her last entry on her 2 weekz back @ home

As already mentioned in the summary entry, 9th Oct was the last dae when Marpig had the time to settle all the serious stuff on top of buying her comic books and toys. 1 very impt thingy she managed to do is to have a game of chess with Marpigz dad *smiles*

Marpig had revealed in very old bloggie entries tt it was Marpigz dad who taught her how to play chess and 象棋. Marpigz dad and Marpig would occasionally stop and be 旁观者 when the 老 uncles in 牛车水 play 象棋 after dinner @ Maxwell Market. When Marpig was much younger, Marpigz dad bought a Flintstone chess set and made a wooden 象棋 board for the BEEG socket-sized 象棋 pcs for Marpig

Rem therez 1 entry in which Marpig showed a pic of a wooden chess set she bought at a flea market in the UK? This time when she went home, she bought tt chess set home, primarily to play a game of chess with Marpigz dad :D

Itz was just smth Marpig had to do, ya noe!! Think Marpigz dad understands the meaning bhind it as he was always ready whenever Marpig took out the chess set!! And so, they had a game of chess where Marpig played it so tt it seemed like a tough match (Marpigz dad actually lost but Marpig just let him 起手有回!! :P) And of cos, Marpig evnetually "放水" *smiles*

Watz so heart-warming was tt during the game, Marpigz dad smiled and both of them joked bout the moves and mistakes. In addition, Marpigz sis just looked, smiled and halted her naggings when she walked past them!! Still rem her remarks went smth like, "Chess? 好玩meh? 真的不懂怎么玩 *smiles*"

Hahahaha, Marpigz notion of a 温馨的时刻... *smiles*

26th - 29th Oct Diving in Redang

BST just ended. Back comes the gusty wind, rain, grey clouds and longer nights in anticipation of winter and xmas. Once again, itz tt time of the yr when Marpig goes into a melancholy/nostalgic mode

Sipping her cuppa and listening to music, there she rants on bout her diving trip in Redang :D As itz her 1st time dabbling in underwater photography, sm photos will appear less impressive as those Marpig took on land :P But hey!! She will practise more next time!! Hopefully each yr!! :D

Without having much time to rest, Marpig unpacked and packed for the Redang trip after she touchdown on 25th Oct evening as shez setting off with Sexy Lady on an overnight coach from Golden Mile to Merang jetty. From the jetty, they still had a 30-45mins boat ride to get to Redang island!!

The journey was all right, the same old stop where the toilets have no tissues but hoses on the floor... *faints* ho hum. Didnt rem much bout the ride but Marpig didnt sleep as usual, don noe why and it was cold on the coach. Luckily Sexy Lady brought along THE sarong!! :D Anyw, therez nth much to say bout the journey there xcept both of them had authentic Nasi Lemak (yumyum!!) at the leetle family-run food stall near the jetty and met a Malay young chap (he looked young & boyish) who is a boss himself, doing boat charters etc for the areas ard the jetty and to Redang. Both ladies chatted to him and woohoo!! He was so nice and treated them teh!! Aw~~ how sweet!! :D

Right, FF to where Sexy Lady and Marpig stayed:Itz was quite a nice resort-styled accommodation with games area, KTV and such. Was recommended by Marpigz fren whom she had never met but spoke xclusively on msn and internetThe room was a seaview room which overlooked the sea (duh). It had a double bed as well as a single bed with hot shower and WC. The room wasnt teeny weeny but just bout enough for cramming say, 5 pple nicely? :P Another gd th bout the place is~~Hammock!! Ah~~ hammocks are Marpigz fav!! One could relax, enjoy the sea, the sun and the sandy beach without a care in the world and just rock on!! 太棒了!!

The owner of the resort was a divemaster himself and actually kept a tankful of newborn leetle turtles!!So cute!! 好好抱哦~~ (agree Sexy Lady?) They are very fragile and the shells are still soft. According to the owner, when the leetle ones swallow, one could feel their tummies ooooooo~~!! :D

Next, Marpig will intro sm fishies which she saw whilst scuba diving!! The dives were bout 18m deep although Marpig must have gone slightly over 19m at one time cos Marpig could feel the pressure on her being higher, she breathed faster (air seems to be "fed" into Marpigz 2nd stage) and the water were colder

Oh, wat is 2nd stage u asked? Well, from the O2 tank, the pressurised air will pass through the 1st stage (valve at top of the tank) to reduce the pressure and then into the tubes and pass the 2nd stage (the mouth piece) which further reduces the pressure for divers to breathe in

Without much technicality, herez wat Marpig saw!!
A Hawksbill turtle having brunch!! Itz actually tearing & chewing smth ttz y the fishies were trying to steal a morsel or two!! Bad fishies!! Most turtles are carnivores with the xception of Green turtles who turned vegetarian as they age hahahaha This particular turtle is bout~ 70 - 80cm long and wide. Despite being in the family of reptiles, turtles don get their food using their tongues

***It is currently classified as critically endangered bcos pple killed them for food as well as their shells for decoration!! Pls stop demanding for their meat and shells!! Pass the message on!!***

Marpig also saw a school of BEEG (~50cm long, 30cm wide) Bumphead Parrotfishies!!Oh boy!! Bumpheads are the biggest parrotfishies. They feed on corals by bumping their heads on the corals, thus, breaking them into smaller pcs (Marpig am not kiddin!!) Unlike other parrotfishies, they are covered with scales xcept their bumps. They are also wols growing and long-lived fishies which can grow up to 40 yrs old :) Actually, itz kinda scary to see so many BEEG Bumpheads swimming in front but tt feeling is like scared yet curious!! hohohohoho!! So fun!!Marpig also saw the usual school of Blackspot Snappers!! Swim swim!! *beaming* They are generally not scared of divers. Guess they see so much of divers they just cant be bothered and continued with their routine swimmin' :P

Then, coming to a cliff (yeah, therez BEEG boulders and cliffs underwater too!!) such as theseMarpig saw a...Fimbriated moray eel!! This pic was from Marpigz diving buddy whoz an uncle. Hez quite a veteran underwater photographer, unlike Marpig. Marpig did take photos of the eel but silly her, she deleted them while reviewing the photos of the 1st dive on land!! Kao. Subsequently and consequently, she didnt review her photos on land; once bitten, twice shy!!

On the sea bed (~18m deep) Marpig also spotted a super jumbo (bout the footprint of a Nissan Micra/VW Beetle) Coachwhip Ray hidden under the sand!! But it cant quite hide itz long, sharp tail (or is tt itz sting?!) and the peering eyes!! Ooo~~!!
Nay, u wont want to try "surfing on it" Rem how Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter died?!

Therez also a small Yellow Boxfish with itz 嘟嘟的嘴~~As well as a Black-blotched Porcupinefish!! Beware of itz spines!!
Any1 whoz seen Finding Nemo would find this fishie familiar!!
Itz a Moorish Idol!! In Finding Nemo, Gill, the leader of the aquarium, is a Moorish Idol with a scar on itz side. It belongs to the grp of Surgeonfishes!! Of cos, Marpig also saw Dory (Regal Tang) who also belong to the grp of Surgeonfishes, just tt Marpig wasnt quick enough to take photos of them. BTW, Regal Tang can be dangerous bcos they have spines near the end of their tails which can xtend when they r xcited!!
While bubbling along, Marpig also came ax a Damselfish (is it?) resting on a coral aka Turbinaria frondens
Hehehehe Marpig also saw one of her fav and easily recognisable Cushion Star!! Itz a starfish and bcos it looked like a pin cushion, hence itz name!!
Flipping it over, one would see the mouth (therez a bit o thingy coming out from itz mouth in the pic) Itz safe to touch though itz not Marpig who flipped it over for Goldie :PTherez also Feather stars such as the 1 above which Marpig saw while gliding in the deep!! :D

Next are the teeny weeny creatures which are both colourful and inconspicuous; Nudibranches!! Eh, they are sea snailsz cousins but they are NOT sea slugs. In fact, sea cucumbers are sea slugs. Marpig arent gd at spotting them but hopefully will do better next time!! Herez just 2 of the many many nudibranches!!See tt blackie on the coral? And tt whitish thingy? Nudibranches are bout... a finger size or smaller. As with laws of nature, they arent palatable and their colours warned fishies bout their taste

Other than the BEEG ray Marpig saw earlier, Marpig also saw a few swimmin' Bluespotted Ribbontail rays bout bigger than the size of a dinner plate!! Therez one resting... just bout right for Marpig to take aim and shoot :P

Marpig would also like to intro sm dangerous sea creatures which all divers will noe (ought to noe!!) such as the Crown-of-Thorns starfishThe Crown-of-Thorns is the 2nd largest starfish, losing out only to the Sunflower starfish. They are solitary creatures and always maintain a constant dist. among themselves and other similar starfishes. Bcos of all the thorns on itz body, hence it name. Like all other starfishes, they can re-generate and re-grow to their full size from just a severed limb. They feed on coral polyps and can eat an astonishing 6 sqm of corals/yr. Hence, itz a threat to coral reef ecosystems specially in the Great Barrier Reef. Itz quite diff to control their numbers bcos they release spores when under stress and if their limbs are severed, the limbs will grow into more starfishes!! BTW, the way a starfish feed is to everts itz stomach and surround the food and then digest the liquefied thingy... After feeding the stomach will return into the starfish. Wow.

Another 人见人怕 sea creature is the triggerfish!!Shown above is the Titan Triggerfish which is ~50cm long. Watz so fearful bout this u asked. Itz strong jaws has teeth tt are adapt for crushing shell, thank u very much. And they use their teeth to move stones from their nest at the bottom of the sea/crevices

Normally, when divers spot them, itz best to stay away from them, lest they come charging at u to protect their eggs and territory. Their bite will give u a few stitches, mind u. To scape their chase, itz best to swim away horizontally bcos their territory are coned-shaped, spreading from their nest upwrd towrds the surface. Hence, to swim verticality would mean u r entering more into itz territory!! So bear this in mind!!
This pic of a Stonefish was from Marpigz buddy. Marpig didnt see it as shez too engrossed in other fishies and doesnt have much a keen eye/xperience than buddy!! Just look at how camouflaged this Stonefish was!! And really, this is the most venomous fish in the world!! Itz venom is dangerous/fatal to humans!! To treat the wound, one would use water > 45 degC in order to help destroy the venom. However, in xtreme cases, antivenom must be used

After sm dangerous creatures, itz time for the cute and curious Clown Fishies!!
An adult Clown Fishie with itz young at itz anemone home!! (BTW, tt is a Magnificent sea anemone & Marpig didnt deliberately make it sound doubled meaning but it IS a Magnificent sea anemone aka Heteractis magnifica)
See!! They are just so curious bout the world ard them (and the divers) tt they will peek out of their home, stare for a bit and swim back in!! hahahahaha

Marpig was busy trying to take pics of them and trying to keep her buoyancy and not swaying due to the current tt she was unaware of smth looming near her xposed knees... suddenly, she felt a warm rush of water current (actually itz the firing of the stings from the Fire Corals) and the next moment, she realised she had been stung by Fire Corals!!Notice the Fire Corals amongst the anemones? Argh!! Marpigz right knee was in intense pain!! The feeling was like sm1 had rubbed chilli padis on Marpig knee!! OMG!! Itz the 1st time Marpig was so careless and omg!! Itz painful!! But got to continue diving :S BTW, Fire Corals are NOT corals although they look like them. They are actually Hydrozoans or colonial marine organisms and are closely related to jellyfishes and anemonesIn total, Marpig counted bout 50 stings on her knee. Nope, Marpig didnt have urine on it!! Itz not the correct way, itz a myth!! Should use vinegar but Marpig didnt. Just applied antiseptic cream. Itz painful for a good 2 daes, constant pain. They then sorta subsided but were still red. Just when Marpig thought she had recovered, they started to swell and itch like mad!! On the dae Marpig was to fly to HK too!! OMG!! Itz so itchy tt Marpig was scared and didnt want to go HK. However, in the end, she still went HK and bought a Hydrocortisone cream (EocortTM Cream) at the airport to be applied there and then

Continuing with pics of the underwater world, herez a cleaner shrimp near the spines of a sea urchin
And herez one of Marpigz biggest fear... a BEEG (notice how BEEG it is with the diver bhind it) Humphead aka Napolean Wrasse!!好可怕!! Rem Marpig mentioned in one of her old bloggie entries tt she once had a nightmare where she dreamt tt one of those Humpheads she saw at Sentosa's Underwaster World in the dae chased Marpig in the dark sea?! Argh!! Luckily Marpig didnt really see it herself tt time in Redang. The above pic was from Marpigz buddy again *shudders* They are so BEEG!!
The pic above showed a school of sotong which Marpig saw drifting when she was doing her decompression stop

Decompression stop? Well, b4 divers surface, they need to do a decompression stop to allow dissolved nitrogen in the body to scape throught the lungs (ttz y divers are told not to hold their breath when diving) Normally itz bout 5mins at 5m but it depends on the depth and duration of the dive. Need to calculate using a dive table which Marpig has sorta 4gotten since she just follow wat others do :P Will revise another time :P One must also not ascend faster than the bubbles!!

As it was, Marpig hadnt cut her long hair then, hence the Medusa effect!! Plus, those short wetsuit was in tatters!! Obviously, since itz a rented one :S One fine dae, Marpig am gonna buy her own full wetsuit!! But need to save since a wetsuit costs bout SGD250+!!Marpigz superb Scubapro jet fins!! Apparently they have a long history and army divers ax the world use these since like 1960s. Even Marpigz dad recognised them as wat he used when he was in the army during his younger yrs and sang praises of them :D Indeed, they are really gd, one kick and it propels the diver lots!! Nay, Marpig dont go for fanciful ones and hey, they arent cheap either!! Itz more xpensive than split fins or those fanciful ones!!

Anyw, Marpig also did snorkeling with Sexy Lady AND kayaking like mad for a total of 3 or 4 hrs!! Essentially, they had a kayak competition (with no competitors... 冲啊!!) to a small island formed due to low tide bout a few km away from the shore. From there, they "parked" the kayak and snorkel!!
Whist snorkeling in the very shallow waters, Marpig came ax a sea cucumber. Therez so many of them even in the deep just tt Marpig didnt take too much pics of them :P
A solitary Banded Blenny...

Then, therez also the Giant clammies with their voluptuous "lips" :P They are very sensitive; go too near them and they will clam up!! Any1 sensible enough will not put their fingers there la!!
Therez also Marpigz fav Xmas tree worms!! (They ARE really called Xmas tree worms!!) They looked just like xmas tree and will hide in the holes if they detect movement/dangers :D So cute!!
Going to deeper water whilst snorkelling, Marpig came ax a small Blue coral (although itz not strictly blue but ttz the name for it) with itz myriad of fishies!!
Being the mischevious Marpig, she used her hand to "fan" the anemones to reveal their "roots" and to see if the Clown fishies will come out but they didnt :S Umkumk!! Wont disturb them!! But wat a very nice purple!!
Finally on the beach on one of those nights, Marpig and Sexy Lady went for a leetle stroll at dusk while waiting for dinner time. Came ax a washed jellyfish which most probably had died since low tide had been quite a few hours aleady
B4 Marpig ends this entry with a few nice pics, herez wat she wore for snorkelling. Her Mares booties (the beach has too many broken shells!!), her bikini and swimming costume. Where is the swimming costume u asked? Well, silly Marpig brought her bikini top but 4got bout the bottom!! So wat did she do? She folded her swimming costume into wat looked like the "bikini bottom" :P Wat an ingenious idea which Marpig am always so gd at coming up :D hahahahahahaA super close up pic (with flash) of the Magnificent sea anemone which Clown fishies live in :D Just so love tt purple hue!!

And finally, the only nice and intact seashell which Marpig found and picked on the beach and not from the sea (itz illegal to take anyth from underwater!! So just relax and admire marine lives from down below *smiles*)

Marpig Flies In Another Way

Marpig was really so bent in picking up flying. She really thought tt pigs can fly and being a pilot is smth she harps on occasionally

Therez always a reason why pple want to do ths and why they do ths the way they did. So watz the main reason why Marpig wanna be a pilot or flies in the very 1st place?

Silly Marpig. Shez just so impressed by pilots when she 1st got onto a plane to Aussie. Ever since, shez just so impressed and curious bout flying. Her "obsession" turned for the worse when she watched the HK TVB series, 冲上云霄 hahahahaha

However, shez afraid of heights... kao.

Another reason is really quite child-lish. She just wanted to prove tt "pigs can fly" and tt Marpig can "水底潜, 水里游, 路上走, 天上飞" Oh well, don think she can learn how to fly...

Why? Cos itz xpensive and Marpigz interests seems to be boundless and increasing everydae. Need to take lessons, tests, practical, more tests. At the end of the dae, itz really just satisfying a saying... ho hum

Just read a news article bout a pilot doing a controlled emergency landing on the sea tt saved all 9 passengers on his light aircraft. Sadly, hez missing and assumed to have gone down with the plane

To be responsible for the lives of so many pple and to sacrifice oneself for others in split seconds is really such a noble act. Although Marpig am willing, she admits she does not have tt sort of courage

Anyw, Marpig am flying!! Looking at ths from another perspective, "flying" could mean many ths. Currently, Marpig am counting her blessings and making most of her ltd resources to be happy and to fulfil her leetle dreams :) TT is also considered as flying 吧!! *smiles*

In HK for the Fourth Time(?)

Backed to work and every1 was complimenting Marpigz new hairstyle!! In summary, pple said short hair suits Marpig although long hair looks fine too. Hmmm... actually, Marpig personally like short hair bcos itz so ez to keep, dries faster and if therez strong wind, hair wont be messy like a birdz nest!! :P

Carrying on with Marpigz trip home in Oct...

5th - 8th Oct

Marpig was in HK for the 4th time (think so)!! 1st was with uni classmates for a little graduation tour, then was with PS, then was for Sisz wedding and the 4th time was this occasion!! Marpig always loved HK; itz very much like Singapore and therez simply so many food to eat!! :D__ Plus, they have cute toys like McDull!! *beaming* Also, Marpig loves TVBs!! :D Too bad to date Marpig hasnt seen any superstars!!

Well, without too much words, brace yrself for lotsa delicious photos!! (U will be hungry after reading this entry!! :D__)
Although famous (or infamous) for being very crowded etc, HKers are very orderly!! In fact, Marpig would say they are more orderly than Singaporeans and the pic above proves it!!

Marpigz sis and Marpig (think Marpigz dad too!!) simply love having filling bf!! And Marpig specially loves bf in HK which consisted of 丁面, 鸡蛋 and ham!! Oh boy oh boy!! :D__

Marpig also had other more traditional bf like~~
粉肠, 炸两, 炒面, 炒米粉 & 皮蛋瘦肉粥!! Yeah!!

During this trip, Marpig 收获不错 as she found~~
Hahahahaha!! Always see them on TVB serials and Marpig finally managed to taste them. Well... not 白糖糕 though darn!! 砵仔糕 tastes sweet and nice!! Therez red beans and the texture was smooth and "light"!! Erm... texture is abit like 水粿 but sweet instead of savoury

Then therez 1 night which Marpig will definitely rem!! Why? Cos Marpigz sisz 老爷 brought us all to THE abs 102 fantastic buffet in the Garden Cafe at Conrad!!

Therez everyth u will see in the buffet such as sushi, sashimi, BBQ thingy (pork, beef, prawns, chicken, lamb, etc), hot foods, cold foods, seafds and most imptly!! VERY FRESH and DELICIOUS oysters and lobsters!! Free-flow!! OMGOMGOMG!!
Oh man!! Marpig just so loves her cholesterol!! Really, when Marpig gets old, most probably she will suffer from high cholesterol!! 怎么办?! :D_____ Of cos, Marpig didnt have too much la, although Marpig am a glutton fairy, shez not a greedy pig!! She had quite a few oysters but she only had 2 lobsters (in fact, itz 2 halves, so itz 1 only) Ah~~ dont mind going again!! :D____ How much u asked... erm... bout 500HKD but itz worth it!!

Oh oh!! Marpig also managed to eat 黏饭!! Gosh!! Tastes very much like Japanese fried chicken sushi roll!! Very nice!! OMG!! Marpig fell in love with it already!!
Therez 糯米, 油炸鬼, pork floss and 柞菜!! *陶醉* :D__ Costs only 11HKD!! Marpig am so full of praises for it tt Marpigz sisz 奶奶 actually bought 2 of them for Marpig to eat on the plane back!! :D Yum yum yum!!

This time, Marpig also finally made it to Aberdeen which Marpig didnt make it during the previous 3 trips to HK. Reasons being itz too far South of HK island and normally tourists just hang ard 旺角 and 尖沙嘴
Gosh, Aberdeen aka 香港仔 was so pretty!! Marpig would say itz better than Sentosa in terms of the sun, the sand and the sandy beach!! Of cos, itz not a tourists place like Sentosa bcos buildings there are mostly the rich and posh high rise apartments or bungalows
Therez also a 庙 there with the big 观音 and 妈祖 statues which is a touristsz attraction...

Anyw, after which, Marpig got onto a boat which ferries pple to Jumbo Floating Restaurant for dim sum lunch!!Wat a familiar sight!! Just so reminds one of 周星驰z 食神~~!! ahahahahahaThe decor for the floating restaurant are really 金碧辉煌!! Above is just one of the many chandeliers...Think the above is either 牡丹/茶花... Marpig dont really noe the distinct diff btw the 2. The red ones are roses lah, but dont think the pastel orange ones are

Marpig also visited places which are often used in TVB serials such as the romantic road along the sea
and the stretch of cobber street which the gd guys always chase the bad guys on as well as bike stunts
Therez also the spot which the news often featured when typhoons hit HK and flood the roads
With those, Marpig shall move onto the night when Marpig met up with long time no see sec sch classmate!! Both her and Marpig went to 西贡 for seafd on Marpigz request!! :D__ We were pretty early in HK std for dinner although itz already 7pm. Her colleague rec the last seafd rest along the entire stretch of seafd rests in 西贡 and so both of them took a wols stroll and saw...
A leetle gal with live horseshoe crabbies!! Being Marpig, she asked the leetle gal to pose for Goldie which she shyly did :)

Next up were wat Marpig and fren had over a big bottle of 青岛啤酒!! :D__
First dish!! "圣旨" (razor clams) with pepper in black bean sauce!! :D__
2nd dish!! Scallops with 粉丝 and garlic!! :D__
3rd dish!! Sea bass HK style!! :D__
And finally, prawns with ginger and garlic!! :D__

After scrumptious dinner (although Marpig could eat more but fren cmi liao :P) both of them went for post-dinner stroll along the sea. Came upon a bridge where pple were fishing for sotong in the moonlit night. One of the uncles caught a BEEG sotong!!
Gosh!! Itz alive and kicking!! Erm... more like squirting ink!! One could actually see how much ink it had left!!Being curious, Marpig went to chat with the pple as well as learning abit of the sotongz anatomy from them. See tt leetle black circle at Marpigz thumbz 1 o'clock? Itz the sotongz mouth!! One of the eyes are partially hidden, near the tip of Marpigz thumb. And, as every1 noes, sotong, like thier cuttlefish cousins, have the ability to camouflage themselves by changing the colours of their skins. Marpig saw the split-sec change although the pics cant really show tt. But the pic shows the size of the sotong!! Itz really big by normal stds!!

Anyw, after tt sotong episode, fren treated Marpig to nice xxxciting 冰山榴莲!!
Although it looks 102% like "yat pak ye" (Cantonese) but itz really soft ice with durians and fruits!! VERY NICE!! Not very sweet which Marpig prefers!!

And finally, the HK trip comes to an end. Marpigz dad and Marpig had Popeye Chicken and Biscuits at the airport, taking pic with Marpigz fav character, Jack Skellington from NBC
Marpigz dad also bought Marpig 2 NBC cushions!!Actually, Marpig am so tempted to buy tt 1.3 m sized Jack but it costs 50 quid!! Nay, Marpigz sis will scream at Marpig plus, Marpig already spent 723 quid just for this HK trip which included Marpigz 大扫货 of 乱马 1/2 cartoon series DVDs (total 7 sets)!!

Just 2 more ths b4 Marpig ends this lengthy entry; Marpigz sis bought 2 McDull aprons for BIL and Marpig. Marpig choosed McMug 午餐肉!! *beaming*
The next th is tt Marpig confirms again tt her sense of craziness and humour are definitely inherited from Marpigz dad bcos she asked him,
