Was feeling Marpig hasnt been to many UNESCO places but actually she did!! In fact, out of the 28 UNESCO places in the UK, she had already been to 7!! And, sm of them she went with Marpigz dad, sis and frens too!! E.g., Stonehenge, city of Bath, Kew Gardens, Maritime Greenwich, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the latest, Jurassic Coast!!
B4 sharing Marpigz collection of 艺术照 in this bloggie entry and in a few more tt follow, a leetle bit bout the Jurassic Coast
1st th 1st, therez NO dinos. Well, not really true, therez a museum with fossils and the 1st complete Ichthyosaur fossil was found there. But Marpig didnt go to the museum since her trip was only 2D1N. So where is this coast u asked? Itz on the English Channel coast of southern England, stretching from East Devon to East Dorset (153km)
Dingko Nut will be interested to noe tt the entire coast can be walked on the South West Coast Path!! Itz a pity tt Marpig went with 2 frens who arent really tt gungho (then again, not many pple can tahan Marpigz kinda gungho and madness!! :P) Hence, she didnt do tt long walk
In addition, this World Heritage Site is entirely natural and blimey!! Itz 180 mil yrs old!!
The entire site also boasts many xcellent xamples of landforms from mil of yrs ago which Marpig visited sm!! Shall reveal them ylwosl!! Not all though, since Marpig only visited bout 65-75% of itz entire length!!
Started the dae early and drove in the persistent rain... wat rubbish weather but ho hum. Itz not smth uncommon. But u noe, 祸不单行!! The carz wiper wasnt doing itz job properly!! Luckily frens have RAC and it wasnt too long (bout 30 mins) b4 the hero comes rescuing the trio!! Not too bad considering the weather AND the trio being stranded on an A-road with no buildings but fields ard!!

Oh yes, must mention this; Marpig uses her mobile Google map app!! Therez the TomTom but really, wat TomTom can do, Google map can too and Marpig felt itz so much faster and easier to use!!
Anyw, frens and Marpig drove to Weymouth, passing through nice villages (didnt use motorways cos they are boorriinngg~~) When the trio were almost in Weymouth, they saw many such cottagey houses with roofs which Marpig found so cute!! Watz the name for them?! Any1 noes?!

Also passed by green pastures and fields littered with yellow daisies as well as a group of holidaying equestrians (young & old, on horses and ponies!!)

Good ths bout using the A-roads are tt therez always ths to see but the cumbersome thingy was when the car in front (unidirectional single lane) went at a snailz pace

But hey!! TT vintage car is brilliant!! :D In fact, on a road like tt with the vintage car, Marpig really felt like shez back to the 1960s!! (though she was never born then :P) Majiam like 拍戏!! hahahahahah
Finally, the trio reached Lulworth Heritage Centre!!

And so they went in to grab sm free maps showing places to visit along the Jurassic Coast!!
Oh oh, as itz Marpigz style, her travel journals are normally divided into separate chapters based mainly on photos tt chronicle her journeys as well as the interesting xperiences whilst on the go. This trip 也不例外!! Shall start with accomo 1st!!
Wanted to stay @ The Lulworth Cove Inn, which is 5+ mins away from the Lulworth Cove but cos itz the May bank hol, therez no vacancies!! :S

And so the trio stayed at The Sun Inn, which basically is a B&B above a pub. Both the pub and B&B are owned by the same boss which he runs with his wife. They had a daughter as well as a very well-behaved German Shepard called Ben. :P Although not close (need to drive bout 30mins) to Lulworth Cove, but itz in the city of Weymouth which is a gateway to the Jurassic Coast. So all is not lost!!

Above is the Sun Inn. Notice the ground floor pub (where bf are served in the morn), the 1st floor private residential accomo (where the owner & family live) and the 2nd floor guest accomo
Therez more than 1 good ths bout staying here actually, 1st, itz near to Weymouth train station, bout less than 10 mins walk. Then itz directly opp~~

A chinese takeaway rest as well as Dominoz!! (read; nighttime supper!!) Plus, not only does it overlooks the beach in Weymouth, itz only 5mins to the beach!! (see photo tt follows) Yeah!!

Being a small family biz, therez only 5 guest rooms and all of them are named after the major oceans in the world. Frens & Marpig were staying in Atlantic, just bside Indian (ocean) :P

The ensuite...

With the shower

This room was in fact, the biggest of all with a 4-post bed (to ang mohs, tt is smwat posh since beds with posts are like the Victorian age(?)) Had an inflatable additional bed but in the end, trio managed to sleep comfortably on the big bed. Ooo~~ here comes an 艺术照!!

Hahahaha majiam like a snapshot from those steamy movies :P

See tt?! The beach is just a stonez throw away!! :D Notice the clock tower on the beach?

This is it!! Had a morning stroll alone on the quiet beach the next dae whilst frens were still getting ready for bf. The scenary is similar to other beach hotels and B&B along the UKz beaches. Very much like in the 1960s old UK and as described in the Enid Blyton books!!
The common traits includes:

All hotels & B&B facing the beach

There are also seaside funfair with rides, cotton candies, donuts, etc etc etc

Moving onto the beach...

One would see puppet show (not open yet)

Mini roller coaster for the toddlers!!

And also the fabulistic sand sculptures!! The above is just one of the many many sand sculptures xhibited on this beach over the yrs!! Ah!! Marpig simply love the Red Queen!!
"Off with his head!!" :D
