Strange th no. 1:
Marpig am getting slimmer. Her wrist is thinner now... is it bcos of working late? Irregular meal times?
Strange th no. 2:
Worked till 10pm last night in the office alone. Was working until ard 8ish and received a call from a colleague from China (did Marpig ever mention bout him in the bloggie?) Anyw, hez married, with a daughter studying in Cambridge, wife in Stoke-on-Trent. Think Marpig did mention him smwhere... in the entry where Marpig talked bout the Cambridge and Oxford Boat Race!! Anyw, he called Marpig whilst Marpig was working. Told him tt Marpig am still in the office & he was shocked & told Marpig not to work so late cos itz very late. Then, he offered to go to the office to accoompany Marpig home in the dark night cos of safety reason
It was really nice of him to offer tt bcos Marpig was the only person in the dead quiet office with lights only where Marpig was working. Plus, itz almost winter & by 7ish now, the sky will be dark. Worse, therez no street lights and office is in a biz park... great. Hence, Marpig welcome the idea for him to come & accompany Marpig home. Oh, he stays just as near to the office as Marpig, although Marpig stays even nearer!! 5 mins walk!!
Strange th no. 3
The Scottish guy had once again, striked!! Todae Marpig didnt want to work late. Exec engr gave smth for Scottish guy to do bcos Marpig am busy with another project. But bcos hez fresh grad, he doesnt noe much & after ko time, hez still rushing to fin wat he was given. The bad th was, Marpig had to wait for him to fin wat he had to do b4 Marpig could add a few more ths, etc. Anyw, he finished & Marpig started doing the work. Therez only 3 or 4 pple left in the office & seriously, Marpig doesnt want to be the last 1 again!! Guess wat, although he had to catch a bus home, he offered to stay in the office until Marpig am ready to go!! He was thankful Marpig taught him smth (though Marpig didnt do much) & tt Marpig got to stay late cos of him
He was supposed to go for a meal to celebrate his bdae yesterdae so Marpig told him not to wait but go & enjoy his dinner. But he insisted and stayed until Marpig am ready to ciao & both Marpig & him left the office together
Hmmm... is Marpig having sm kind of a 桃花运? Is Marpig really tt attractive? Or is it bcos Marpig am an onion with so many layers tt pple find it interesting & want to know more bout Marpig? Or is it bcos Marpig always have lotsa funny ideas & opinions to share? But Marpig don dress up or put on make-up... so watz so attractive/interesting bout Marpig? Nth much really, just lotsa passion and life when shez concentrating/doing/just talking bout ths she likes/enjoys
So, any1 want to suggest in wat way(s) am Marpig interesting/boring?
Oh well, 1 th which Marpig do noe is tt itz gd to be a female (smtimes) :D
Oh yes, Marpig opened the fiasco bottle of Tuscany Chianti to drink!! Had a glass each night for 2 nights already... gonna fin the whole bottle!! Marpig felt in love with Chianti!! Itz soooo easy to drink!! :D

Busy is a Valid Reason
Been so busy with work bcos Marpig am involved in 3 projects, hospital, health care centre and also 1 of the many plots for the London Olympic...
Despite being busy and work til Marpig is down with cold, therez so much to pick up
Marpig am really learning!! Understand quite alot of ths now in terms of electrical, civil and structural and architectural. BUT!! The more u noe, the more u noe u don noe!! Itz true!!
Was in the usual Monday aftern design team meeting for the Olympic project (abbrev. OP) and Marpig suddenly came up with a joke in her mind whilst the structural engr update on their progress...
The person who may appreciate the joke the most will be Dingko Nut (who is having a great time in Verona & Rome)!! Of cos, there are others who may also understand the joke too!!
Among mechanical, electrical and structural engrs, who is the most dangerous, who is the most horny and who is the richest of all?
And the answers are...
Electrical engrs are the most dangerous bcos they are always live and electrifying and not always down to earth
Structural engrs are the most horny ones bcos they speak of nth but penetrations and piles
Mechanical engrs are the riches of all bcos they have huge margins
Another joke is bout a physicist, an accountant and an engr being shipwrecked on an island with a can of food
The 3 of them were sitting below a palm tree on the island and were thinking how to open the can of food
The physicist was busy scribbling formulas on the sand in order to calculate how high the palm tree was, wat amt of force is needed to open the can, how high the can should drop in order to open it, etc
The accountant, being the most practical, was evaluating wat are the opportunity costs
The engr, seeing how both the physicist and accountant failed to realise the dire situation they were in, offered a solution and said,
"Letz assume we have a can opener..."
Anymore jokes bout the poor engrs to share? :P

爱与恨 and Itz Time for More Retro Stuff
爱一个人不简单，但是不辛苦。
恨一个人很简单，但是很辛苦。
Marpig had 2 dreams of Marpigz mom just this week...
1st was a dream when she hugged Marpig when Marpig told her Marpig lost her job... hmmm...
2nd was a dream when Marpig was having dinner with Marpigz mom and dad like the old times @ home... In the dream, Marpig knew bout wat Marpigz dad did and wont speak to him at all and is angry & disappointed in him. Marpigz mom was trying to be 和事佬 and cooked many dishes for Marpig. Marpig distinctively rem she cooked plain porridge for Marpig and smiling when she brings the food to the table. Marpig was smiling and happy too but only has eyes for Marpigz mom while Marpigz dad was eating and being abs silent and a look of pissed/angry look on the face. Cant really tell which but definitely not a guilt-stricken face. Hmf.
Been listening to songs sang by 陈淑桦 and stumbled upon sm very old songs which Marpig used to love!! For eg., the song 《一往情深》 playing in the backgrd now by 小虫!! Therez also songs from 蓝心媚 like 《爱我到今生》 which Marpig likes too!!
And!! 陈淑桦 sang the songs for SBC8's 红头巾!! Rem?! Gosh... tt was when Marpig was still in kindergarden!! Think itz bout... 1985 or 1986... gosh!!
Searching on U-Tubes for 红头巾, Marpig suddenly rem even more childhood favs!! Wow!! The feeling of recalling those really gd old daes @ home, watching SBC8's 电视连续剧 is sooooooo xxxhilerating than anyth else!! Really, all the SBC shows are soooooo much better than the new modern 电视连续剧 where not only the plot sux big time, the acting skills of the actors/actresses sux too...
电视连续剧 which are more than classic (they are vintage!!) include, 舞榭歌台，五脚基，青春123，金兰结，牛车水人家，最后一个大侠，飞越银河，咖啡呜，雾锁南洋，迷离夜，奇缘等等!! And, Marpig particularly like the 插曲 of 迷离夜 (Beenie will noe!!) and the 连续剧,奇缘!! OMG!! Marpig would also sing-along the main theme song of 奇缘 when it was on the telly long long time ago!!

Yeah, Marpig likes old stuff but this IS Marpig!! :P
Specially for 红头巾... itz Marpigz momz fav. Marpig mentioned Marpigz mom taught Marpig many ths; chinese proverbs, some 诗, stories, 忍，做人的道理, etc etc. She also taught Marpig sm history (tin mining as well!! Cos when she was young, she did go "wash" for tin by the river with her mom) as well as, you guessed it, those hardworking 红头巾
She even performed as a 红头巾 during her companyz D&D and won a hi fi set!! Marpig still rem therez a picture of her with the 红头巾 during tt D&D!!

Marpig has been so bloody busy this week; 2 daes in London for meeting, worked such long hours with no OT pay (thank u v much) pui
Socialise... itz quite a must to get u up the ladder... duh yeah yeah, pple will tell u itz life... but... oh well
Ex-colleague just told Marpig tt " therez smth bout u ttz sexy which u have kept well guarded" but bcos hez going to bed, so will ask him wat xactly is it tt hez talking bout, if Marpig rems cos Marpig don noe watz so sexy/attractive bout herself. Guess only pple who noes bout appreciation of true beauty will spot "smth" bout Marpig? *scratching head*
The Scottish colleague in office is really nice. Marpig was working non-stop during one of the daes when she did not have lunch, nor any water nor time to go to the loo. He sent Marpig an email saying he saw tt Marpig was very busy and he asked Marpig if he can offer her any help. But Marpig said thanks but no and told him Marpig hadnt had lunch, water & no loo breaks!! So he replied saying itz not healthy to skip lunch & asked Marpig to go grab a bite. But Marpig 4got bout it and continued doing her work
Guess wat, after a while, when Marpig was concentrating on wat she was doing, he suddenly came with a glass of water for Marpig!! OMG!! So touched!! So nice!! This is wat Marpig meant by being 细心 and 体贴!! So cute a guy!! Gosh... Marpigz "impression meter" of him is increasing!! Interested in him? Hmmm... itz complicated...
This week also sees Sexy Lady on a nice and well deserved all xpenses paid trip to Rome & Verona!! Brilliant!! :D
End of the month gonna have internal audit with mentors for Marpigz IPD scheme... sharks. Meaning, no matter wat, Marpig need to finish tt 2 yrs' worth of IMechE reports amidst all other projects' works!!
