Provocative Thought

Good news!! Marpig finally got her new Fujitsu laptop!! YEAH!!

1) Dont ask the spec; itz a Lifebook E Series... think itz 8410. Yup.
2) Cost bout ~GBP1000 *whew!!*
3) Microsoft Vista Biz... gosh... quite difficult to use in fact... since it requires learning a totally new system...
4) Has an inbuilt camera on top of wide screen
5) More freq blogging once again!! heheheheheheh Since Marpig can blog safely @ home instead of the office which Marpig wont have the time anyway...

B4 Marpig backtracks to bloggie entries tt were long overdued, letz start with a provocative entry.

It happened over a Friday lunchtime where Marpig and her 2 other colleagues (one of them being the bald Msian guy) went for Pizza Hut buffet (costs GBP4.50, pizza only and trust Marpig, the selection is not as impressive as in Singapore)

The main th was, he (hereafter referring to the bald Msia guy) mentioned his church frens (a couple) is going to start a church in Cardiff. (They were Christains) Herez a brief summary of his church:

They considered themselves as Christains
They cannot go to other churches because to them, they believe their church is the true church, aka True Jesus Church
They must marry only and exclusively church members. Otherwise, they have to convert their spouses. (Majiam like Muslim lah)
They do not yet have a proper church, so they will be starting it in their house where pple will go for service and they will deliver the sermons

Conversation bout the new church his frens are starting went ok until Marpig (don noe why) suddenly asked the question, "Will donations be collected?"

"Yes"
*feeling heated* "Right, this is one th I dont like. Why do they collect donations? Convince me and I will even promote your church!!"

"Itz for the church"

"Church?! You don even have a church and itz only pple who set up this church in their home. Do the donations go to any charitable organisation?"

"There are donation boxes for pple to donation. They can dont donate if they don want to. The donations don go to any charitable organisation, it goes to the church"

"What church?! Yje church is set up by your frens. In the 1st place, if you are doing God's work, you shouldnt be collecting donations. Furthermore, those donations don go to any good uses except to the pockets of those pple who set up the church. Right, they get the money as their income, do not even have to declare tax on the money. Worse th is, those pple who donated will still be taxed since there are no proper forms to fill in for donations to the churches (ttz how it works in the UK). They are just using God's name to do what they want!!"

"... ..."

"Why do your church feels so exclusive? Christains. You started another fraction of the already heavily divided religion. If all of you believe in one God, why cant u go to other churches? Smtimes, pple just do/follow ths blindly."

So, the conversation turns sour and we still continue ou r pizza like nth happened. But deep inside, thoughts are stirred.

Really... Marpig just don like pple who keep insisting they are the REAL church etc. Itz load of crap. Set up church in house and collect donations but goes to "church". Pui

So, Marpig am totally not convinced nor impressed.
