Was dreaming bout reading books in a shop... smth like Popular... then suddenly saw old comics... those comics in the 20s or 30s kind!! New, but old... erm got wat Marpig means?
Really love them!! Read them since Marpig can tok cos 阿妈 has got alot... and the drawings and stories were sooooooooooooooo perfect!! Those drawings were drawn with 毛笔 one umk!!
Especially remembered the comic titled 梅秀姐... think therez 2 books... one 上 and one 下 or just one... tt Marpig cant rem... the story goes where the protagonist was a 丫鬟 in a rich manz mansion then she was really pretty and gd and had a tough life but had a 青梅竹马 fren who was also an honest and hardworking chap. Then, don noe wat happened, the lao ti kor 老爷 tries to u-noe-wat with 梅秀姐 and then the chap came to her rescue but don noe wat happened, he was framed and killed by the 老爷. Subsequently, anyone who 欺负 her would be taught a lesson and then supernatural/weird things happen with 梅秀姐 around. At 1st 梅秀姐 thought the mansion got ghost but then later realised itz tt chap who want to protect her. And pple also came to think tt she is a jinx.
Anyway, 梅秀姐z life is tougher and she even got/almost got raped (cant rem but Marpig think shez raped) cos then she wanted to hang herself and suddenly tt chap (with hideous disfigured face) apparited in front of her and asked her why she 12 end her life... then she told him everyth and then the ghost (of the chap) hang the 老爷 before hanging 梅秀姐 and be with her 4ever and ever.
Marpig really love the comic and another... cant rem but itz really nice too!! kept reading and reading and reading but when Marpig is much older realised Marpigz mom actually threw them away!!!!!!!!!!! Was really very sad and heartache... tried finding them or buying old comics from garung guni but didnt find much...
Instead, bought a 50 cent Jules Vernes "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and became so fascinated and fell in love with shopping and looking at junks at the garung gunis... :D
Then abit of luck came when Marpig and dad and mom was gai gai-ing in Clarke Quay... b4 it was transformed into 100% pubs... there was an antique shop near a old style barber shop... (think some of u might have abit of recollection) so went in, trying to find... and found some!! but no stories are nicer... but just bought lor... cos... just love the oldness and pictures and the strokes... :D a few dollars i think... cant rem...
ok, now coming to the ultimate and main th bout this bloggie...
Marpigz mom always used 梅秀姐 to scare Marpig when Marpigz young when Marpig was naughty or lazy... she will say smth like "梅秀姐 will come and find u"....
hahahahha can all of u imagine how scared Marpig can be?! Maybe ttz one of the reason why Marpig love the story... cos itz romantic and everyth plus reminds Marpig of Marpigz mom...
Marpig is really timid... used to sleep on one side of the bed with the back pressing against the mattress of Marpigz godmother (Marpig sleeps on floor when young and no wooden beds, only stacks of mattresses) Then, godmother said if Marpig sleeps like tt, ghouls will sleep with Marpig!! (WHY do adults like to scare children?!?!?) So, Marpig adopted the "大" 字形 sleeping style!!
Now, when Marpig has grown up, Marpig no longer use the "大" 字形... instead, Marpigz bed is a super single with 2 bolsters and 2 pillows... one pillow and bolster for sleeping on and hugging while the extras... well... to fill the empty spaces on the bed... :P of cos, all Marpigz piggies sleep with Marpig :D

Auto Shutting
JM now have a bf and a job, Dingko Nut has a job too...
JM asked Marpig don auto shut out of her life (wont umk!! :))
Dingko Nutz hasnt been bloggin like Marpig so Marpig bets she must be very busy at work (and happy too!!)
Prayed for JM, Dingko Nut and PS, so now 2 of them got wat they wanted and are happy... as for PS... hope a job comes knocking on her soon (must do smth too lah)
Internet hasnt been working fine and everytime internet comes on Marpig will be opening windows to check mails etc as quick as lightning in case internet gone faster than the speed of light... :S
30th June... Marpigz momz anniversary... morning woke up... called dad... he was on his way to play bowling at 6pm SG time... haven gone to visit mom... hmm... guess he 4gets itz the anniversary until Marpig rang... anyway... realised itz 粽子节 when he told Marpig he ate 粽子... miss 粽子... especially those black ones (but got too much fats inside) sigh... noe can buy 粽子 anytime, anwhere, anyhow, but... to eat it on the festival itself and with relatives and frens are the best...
5 yrs already... how times flies... how many ths have changed... how pple matured... how pple and events get remembered or 4gotten... Strange... maybe will cry or be angry or sad if Marpig noes tt dad has abit (he didnt totally lah :)) 4gotten bout 30th June... last time... now... didnt really feel anyth... just reminded him and also to ask him to take care of himself... Marpig guessed... sometimes, some pple tend to get over things easier than Marpig... (of cos)... Marpig shouldnt be so hard on others and self... guess they have really let go... think Marpig has let go of smth too... definitely... but not bout momz issue.. smth else...
Been feeling very melancholy for these many months in London... itz true tt pple tend to think alot when therez so much time with nth to do... hahahhaha...
Anyway, saw a fox one night while going home after dinner... knew it wasnt a dog cos of the shape and the swiftness... on closer look, it is very thin... but nice eyes... looks sad/scared... didnt look crafty nor foxy... hahahaha
Saw wild yellow roses too... big bush with flowers tt are bout palm size!! Told Marpigz sis... again... just above the head and on the path we always took and she didnt notice until Marpig told her... sigh...
Dawn at 330am, dust at 9pm...

Watching 大长今 the 3rd Time!!

Yup, Marpig is watching DCJ for the 3rd time!! Itz simply so nice and Marpig just cant get enough of the food as well as everyth else in the show!! (Especially those romantic parts which is so deprived in this show!!)
Anyway, maybe NO ONE noes this secret/boo boo in the great DCJ show...
***The gal who acted as DCJz daughter in the later episodes also appear and acted as one of those little children in the 1st few episodes!!***

Pharaoh is Tough!!
Played the PC game Pharaoh and itz tough... well... at least not tt idlistic than AOE... got too many things to plan, to build, to take care of, etc... than keep having plague and the Gods keeps wanting to be appease... itz crazy... spent the whole dae learning the game and the whole night till 630am to play the game... abit traumatic... cos Marpig subconsciously think of planning where to put the well and physician and the farms in sleep!!
Dingko Nut mentioned tt Marpig didnt take the Kissing Test (refer to previous bloggie entry).. :P actually Marpig did!! but felt shy putting it up mah (as if!! hahahaha) cant rem the results though...

Finished last paper of the last sem for the masters course!! ALL exams are over. No more lectures and no more courseworks!! Haven felt so relieved!! Not even for ungrad exams!!
But... sad to say... alone in schz comp lab using internet... celebrate? Argh... celebrate with who?
1) In NUS, Marpig don study as hard as now and don feel as relieve as now
2) In NUS, whether or not tt paper is the last or gd or bad, Marpig sure goes smwhere to celebrate (most probably a place to eat)
3) In KCL, exam halls are very nice as they are held in those big, nice, iconic ancient buildings not like that Suntec Conventional Hall (no wonder the design is pretty much conventional too)
4) In KCL, invigilators don tell u how much time u have left, they only tell u to put yr pants (pens, cant resist the pun u see!!) down
The last paper came as a little bit surprising... surprisingly easy... considering itz CFD (Marpig still hasnt collected the 1st CW cos itz damn screwed up, may get a D even!!) The other 3 papers b4 CFD was Thermofluids, CAD and Robotics Systems... Marpig tot they will be easy... but they turned out to be ok... like out of 4 ?s Marpig can do 2, then the next 2 must max marks... for CFD, wow... tot Marpig will screwed it up but Marpig can do all 4 ?s (in fact, can do all 5 ?s but max marks criteria mah)
So, everything is done with only the thesis... Marpig shall:
1) Re-watch DCJ the 3rd time (Muah~hahahahahaha)
2) Play PC games

No, itz not gonna be a bloggie on how to study for exams (do TYS and add a few dashes of perserverence and dilligence and also study smart can liao).
Was recalling bout mom and Marpig again...
Remembered when Marpig was in kindergarden or pri sch, Marpigz mom will do household chores (like mopping the floor or ironing) while Marpig tagged along her everywhere she goes to recite passages to her. Sometimes, when shez doing the ironing, she will give Marpig spelling or ting xie tests...
Then when Marpig was in sec sch, Marpigz mom will cook maggie mee for Marpig or make a cup of milo for Marpig or just sitting and looking at Marpig study and telling Marpig not to be anxious...
There was once in sec 1 when therez a test on the Periodic Table... 1st time Marpig was exposed to the elements, atomic nos., etc (OMG!!) so was trying to get all the 72 (is it? or most of the common elements) inside Marpigz head by prancing to and fro the whole kitchen... Marpigz mom was there sitting... telling Marpig not to be so gan cheong... :)
Then, the Marpig was in JC or Uni... (tt time Marpigz mom was suffereing from lung cancer)... she used to just quietly sits on Marpigz bed, looking at Marpig/praying with her rosery... still so vivid in Marpigz mind... once Marpig asked her why she wants to sit there and look at Marpig... cant rem wat she replied... think she said smth like peaceful? :'(
Recalling now and tearing (shit, in schz comp lab with pple...)... maybe she just want to look at Marpig longer... cos she knows she does have the chance in the future... *controlling tears* really miss those times...
Now, when Marpig is studying for masters... will occasionally sob... not because Marpig is stressed but because Marpig recalls the past and looking at the empty bed beside... the only drive to continue to perservere is the photograph which is taken at sec 4 grad showing Marpig and Marpigz mom who is smiling...
