Just to reply to previous comments in previous bloggie entry, UK drivers are more "hiong" than Singaporeans, though they do gvie way and are very polite, just the way they drive is "hiong"
Then pple here use their beams and direction lights as a communication gesture. Eg, they will blink their headlights/signals which means "thank u for giving way to me" or "u go 1st". In Singapore, they simply becomes "&$!! I go 1st!!" or "Xiam!!" or "Wah Lao!! How u drive one!!"
Eh, suppose to blog bout tt guy who made Marpig angry @ work... aiyo, mafan.
ok lah, blog just a little b4 going on to Munich/Burghausen trip.
Story goes like this:
He moving hse
Office throwing 2 mini fridges
He wanted 1 of the fridge
He wanted to bring the fridge & leave it in Marpigz hse cos near to his new place with another guy
Marpig asked him to check if fridge is dry, if not dry it otherwise will soil the carpet & difficult+dirty to move
He said ok
Next day after work, Marpig asked him once again if he checked
He said "yes, there is no water at all, fridge is very dry"
Marpig went to check (cos Marpig never really trusts him)
Marpig found fridge was not only smelly (like dead fishes), it was full of water (as you would xpect from a switched-off fridge)
Marpig am fuming; not bcos of the water but the fact he LIED
Marpig HATES being LIED to.
He made a DEADLY mistake
Marpig am angryHe also don noe wat happen, angry.
Kao. How dare he.
He has no ground to be cos he LIED & got caught red-handed (how STUPID)
Next day, Marpig helped them moved as promised
Marpig very big heart, try to 4give (though wont 4get)
He small gas
Marpig left mobile in their old hse while moving, asked him to call our fren to keep mobile in case it got lost in the moving
He said, "Dont worry, your mobile will be in the bin"
Imagine how *%$£"% Marpig was
Subsequently, he said many small gas ths & act like a small gas bitch including "Dont get choke" when Marpig gives out chocolate from Salzburg. The fact is, he was given one also and ate it.
Should have said, "U also ate it, why don u get choke? Dont eat lah"
But being such a "gentlemanly" lady, Marpig don 12 geng1 him yi4 ban1 jian4 shi4
So now, he said bye to Marpig when Marpig goes back, just now still offer to make drink for Marpig... hmmm... But still, Marpig am not talking to him unless abs necc.
This kind of pple, *sigh*
And can any1 believe it?
He is a man (he shouldnt be)
He is from Imperial (TTz why Marpig always said, "Educational does not give integrity and personality")
No wonder he is still single.

Marpig am Going to Get TT (Darn!!) Motorbike Licence!!
Not sure if Marpig ever mentioned in Marpigz bloggie bout why Marpig am so bend on getting a motorbike licence. Oh well, a breif re-cap from grandmama Marpig!!
Marpigz sis paid for her motorbike lessons back in Singapore. Marpig been through 4 tests but still did not managed to pass. Reasons being too many points deducted on ths like Marpigz leg touch the ground while bike had not come to a complete stop, engine sound too loud, etc.
Marpig started learning in 2000. Took up driving lessons as well in 2002/3. Passed driving test but still failed to get tt motorbike licence!! Darn. So, after the 4th test, Marpig had already graduated from uni, started working, went to the UK, etc. The motorbike licence had been put on the shelf collecting dust.
Every so often when Marpigz sis got the chance, she will complain to every1 else bout the fact tt she worked in the UK so hard (prior to getting her Chartered Accountant status) and paid for Marpigz lessons and Marpig didnt manage to get any licence. :S
Sorry... but!! Marpig am gonna take motorbike licence here in the UK!! So much easier here to pass (though not any cheaper and more xpensive in fact) and there is no such th as 2B, 2A, 2. Itz one licence for all cc. So, the plan is, get Marpigz motorbike licence here, xchange for a Singapore one when Marpig goes back. :P

Cosy Barn 3, Again
A quick entry!! Rem Marpig mentioned tt she can see rainbows, sunset, etc when she was staying in Cosy Barn 2? Well, she can see rainbows too in Cosy Barn 3!!
And, Marpig really love Cosy Barn 3!! Hope everything will be peaceful and quiet, secure and safe, cosy and nice for Marpig to stay in long term!!

Itz an English Thingy
Marpig learnt a few interesting thingy of the English and would like to share with all of u!!
1st of all, English Daisies are called Daisy because last time, pple used to call it the "Day's Eye", since like Marpigz fav flower (Morning Glory), the flowers bloom in the day only. But, after yrs of distortion to the pronounciation of the "Day's Eye", it became "Daisy"
2nd, the 2 fingers gesture for peace, if u had do the gesture with the palm facing u instead of facing out, itz a swearing gesture!! Why?
The story goes to long long time ago when the French and the Brits were fighting in war. The French would cut off the Brits 2 fingers (those 2 tt were used for making the peace gestures) becos those 2 fingers and the thumb were used to pull the arrows on the bow (those of u who tried archery will noe). Pple who noes a bit of history/warfare, will also noe tt the British longbows (archers) are the elite infantry in wars last time. (How did Marpig noe, well, from playing AOE!! :P) But smhow, the Brits still won the war, so the gesture (with palms facing yrself) has became like a mockery of the French.
But now, most pple use it as a swearing gesture. Well, quite good. At least better than the middle finger!!

A very long subject... Right XT has reminded Marpig to blog again!! Yup, cant believe Marpig hadsnt been blogging for 10 daes!! Not usual... but u noe watz going to happen; prepare for a string of entries!!

Beenie will noe wat other song of Simply Red Marpig will sing loudly in the car while spinning!! :P ("You Make Me Feel Brand New", to save all of u from guessing)

Was thinking... maybe Marpig should find a husband who is good to Marpigz dad and will take care of him and accompany him, even though Marpig may not like/love tt man... gosh... sounded so like those MCPs!! Cannot. Anyway, Marpigz dadz don really need Marpig to be there since he keeps going out, travelling etc.

Bum Bun Dae!!
THANK YOU ALL!! For making Marpigz day!! muackmuackmuack!! As usual, love all of u!! :D) *beaming the megawatt smile*
(Marpig and colleagues had a total of 9 dishes but the table was too small, so those tt we finished were cleared immediately!! :D))
How many years was it tt Marpig am so happy during her bum bun dae? (shall xplain the new addition to Marpigz CAN dictionary = Codenames, Abbrev., Nicks)
As Marpig had disclosed in previous bloggie entries, Marpig am guilty tt she doesnt have the chance to do much for her mom... plus, the fact tt Marpigz momz bdae is on 11th July, Marpig don feel like celebrating hers, noeing she will be sad anyway.
So it goes, the 1st yr after Marpigz mom passed on, Marpig flew out of Singapore to Aussie. Sounds like a treat right? Marpig also say.
2nd yr onwards, don noe wat happened... think went smwhere... and subsequently, bum bun dae is just another dae to Marpig. Nth too special but of cos, itz always a meal or 2 with frens or a few smses here and there. But overall, itz quiet. TT time Marpigz dad couldnt rem Marpigz bum bun dae, makes bum bun daes worse. Itz like, pple whom u hope will rem yr bum bun dae actually don rem...
The story goes tt luckily Marpigz sis rem and will send bum bun dae card from the UK (Marpig hasnt left for the UK then) and it really cheers Marpig up on top of frens whom Marpig met up for bum bun dae.
Then, went over to the UK and bum bun dae is even more "quiet" or should Marpig say, itz more dear. Itz like, oh no, now no more frens to meet up and do crazy ths during bum bun dae. Despite Marpig getting used to not feeling overly-xcited, Marpig still hopes to enjoy bum bun dae as it was, soooooo many yrs b4, when everyth in life is red and rosy, cheery and cherry.
The 1st bum bun dae in the UK was a buffet at sm place far from Marpigz sisz place. The trio (Marpigz sis, BIL and Marpig) took the Tube bout 1.5hrs just to go to tt place for buffet. Was really nice!! Am so happy (cos of the food)!! and of cos, itz soooooooo comforting to receive cards and parcels from frens back home. Am very touched!!
The 2nd bum bun dae, which is just a few daes ago, Marpig was thinking, "Ok, alone in Bristol. Keep it low." So, not a lot of pple in the office noe itz Marpigz bum bun dae. Only a few colleagues. Also, itz badminton dae with colleagues on Mondays. So Marpig initially thought tt the dae will be just another dae and after playing badminton, Marpig shall just head home and have scrumptious stewed chicken.
Instead, surprises!! A colleague and his wife made a soap basket for Marpig, bcos they do not noe wat to get for Marpig (they knew Marpig am not the typical gal who likes accessories) and all of a sudden, they decided to rope a few more colleagues to celebrate Marpigz bum bun dae after work and badminton!!
To cut it short, after a smashing (pun intended) badminton session, we head to our fav chinese restuarant for dinner!! WOW!! Very nice!! Took pictures of food as usual!! :D)

Received a HUGE parcel from ever-so-sweet XT!! Itz a very nice Parker pen!! Very nice to write with!! And also a abs 102% Mogu (ttz what Marpig call it) piggie!! oh boy oh boy!! *hugging and squeezing* OOOOOOOO!! *jumping around* what should Marpig name it leh? :D

Itz so nice having frens who remembers yr bum bun dae and drop a note or two. It doesnt have to be presents, itz always the thought tt counts, especially when one is smwhere far and away from home...

B4 blogging bout smth juicy yet sad, Marpig discovered she is so much like a handywoman now. Having gotten used to staying alone means independence and freedom, which means DIY, finding watz the probs, repairing and socialising.
Itz quite subjective and it depends on whether an individual takes the effort to learn. Of cos, many guys will noe just as many will not. Sm gals will noe,
but most gals wont. So, watz the thingy?
